The MSI A320M Grenade is an excellent platform for general purpose use. Gaming enthusiasts will appreciate the overclocking capability of the MSI B350M Bazooka motherboard which is an entry level gaming board for socket AM4. We can confidently point out that this board with a graphics card can handle gaming easily. Equipped with a 4/8 CPU is plenty of processor for a single graphics

We dislike motherboards with only 2 memory slots. With 4 memory slots a system can be equipped with more RAM when the workload becomes more demanding. 4 slots can mean lower cost 4GB sticks can be used to get 16GB as opposed to a pair of 8GB sticks. The price of 16GB sticks are falling making them more attractive.  We are not sure if MSI supports the Samsung 32GB memory yet.

The B350 according to AMD can handle JEDEC DDR4-2666 however faster memory has become available subsequent to their original expectations. A BIOS update may allow faster speed memory to be used to advantage.

Entry level gaming is easily done with this motherboard. The PCI Express x16 slot can handle even a larger video card as it is offset away from the CPU cooler to allow for excellent air flow.

The pair of PCI Express x1 slots are available for peripherals if desired. PCI Express cards for expansions are widely available.

MSI has a metal protector on the PCI Express x16 slot to help protect it in case the user wants to swap the video card for a different one on occasion. MSI also has good protection of the regulators and the rear edge where video card brackets may accidentally scratch the board.

The single M.2 slot can support a very high performance SSD with up to 4 GB/s of bandwidth. At present there are M.2 PCI Express x4 SSD available up to 2TB in capacity. Be aware that SATA products are packaged as M.2 but they are not nearly as fast as PCI Express x4 SSD drives.

4x SATA ports are enough for hard disks and BD drives as desired. Most users of this board will likely be using for upgrades from existing systems.

Headers for USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 are available for every chassis available. Front panel boxes for USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 are available for those who need more ports for charging devices etc.

The audio is better than the lower cost A320M Grenade. MSI has their audio boost which brings better sound for gaming.

Having 3 fan headers is a real boost for those with better chassis that have front and rear fans. This makes it easier to manage fans to control noise.

The MSI Click BIOS is a real handy feature for those who want to more easily manage their board. Upgrades are easy. MSI has easy automatic updates for drivers and firmware.

If you going to use a large card, make sure the motherboard is very securely bolted down. Some chassis do not have a full complement of mounts so use the most screws possible to make the motherboard secure.

Make sure the screws near the RAM are all secure so that upgrades are easy. All too often a loose board can result in broken clips and worse.
