Biostar has released some new details over their new Z270 motherboards. The Z270 is already known to have a few more PCI Express lanes and some improvements for HDR etc.
Biostar has also mentioned a new heatsink for the M.2 slot given the heat coming from recent Samsung SSD devices in the market. Other vendors are also designing new thermal management solutions as well.
The Intel X550-AT supports 10GBASE-T Ethernet which is 10x faster than the existing.The X550-AT using a single PCI Express 3.0 lane on the motherboard. Launch price for the X550-AT is $60 which means only the top boards will feature it initially.. PCI Express 2.0 x4 cards with the X550-AT are $350 for older rigs.

Biostar has redesigned their motherboards to be a lot more conservative. They no longer use the garish UV glowing orange and purple scheme etc. They have taken more steps to make their entire line more tolerant of high humidity.
