Dangerous Waters was released on February 22, 2004 by Strategy First. The game was developed by Sonalysts Combat Simulations. Dangerous Waters is a naval combat simulation strategy game. The CD version of the game is reviewed.
While many types of units are seen within the game, there are only a few that can actually be controlled by the player. Some of the most notable ones that can be controlled are the Los Angeles-class submarine, the P-3 Orion, the Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate and the Akula-class submarine.
Dangerous Waters allows the player to create scenarios using an included mission editor which includes a scripting language. Dangerous Waters can use and import scenario scripts from these other games: 688(I) Hunter/Killer, Sub Command, and Fleet Command.
Sonalysts did an excellent job with Dangerous Waters making it one of the best simulations every released.
This game surfaced on Steam shortly after release.
