The ELPIDA EBJ21UE8BDF0-AE-F DDR3-1066 has support for DDR3-1066F and DDR3-1066G timings.
With our Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 we are able to operate the Elpida at DDR3-1333 speeds which shows that the quality of this memory was well above the standard.
Overclocking this memory was stable to DDR3-1400 speeds.
The RAM is configured as 1 gigabit organized as double rank (sided) and 64-bit aggregate bit-width. The data sheet shows it as 256M word which means its organized as 4 bits wide across the 64-bit bus which will give the RAM as much performance possible.
See the RAM Timing page for more information on how RAM timings work.
AMD AM2 and Intel Sandy Bridge and above all have integrated memory controllers.
A BIOS update may be needed to use higher capacity memory.
SPD TIMING TABLE
The date code shows 2009. This means this RAM is first generation DDR3.
ELPIDA DDR3 PART NUMBERS
The RAM does not work in dual channel model with the MSI 970A-G43 however it works fine in single channel mode. Its possible that a BIOS fault limited the memory to single channel.
It runs at DDR3-1066 which is the default for the memory. Some machines can run this RAM at higher speeds which shows the quality of the RAM is outstanding.
