The Artisan 835 also has Wi-Fi and Ethernet so it can be installed as a walk up network fax server machine with scan and print capability. The capability of the Artisan 835 is excellent.
Photo-centric features include the ability to print directly from PictBridge cameras as well as from memory cards and USB memory keys, using a 3.5-inch color LCD to let you preview photos before printing. Lower resolution cameras may not product very good quality prints.
Other features are the ability to print directly on printable discs, and a selection of stored templates in the printer for graph paper, notebook paper and other useful output.
The large 7.8″ touchh screen front panel is adjustable which makes it helpful when used as a stand alone role.
The printer is excellent for printing black ink in duplex mode (both sides of the sheet). This feature reduces the amount of paper needed considerably.
Overall the color quality is largely dependant on the quality of the paper. Cheap 84 brightness paper is adequate for general purpose printing but the print quality is much better with 92 brightness paper. Printing documents with spot color or photographs are easily handled with copy bond paper.
Photo Paper produced excellent (well better than expected,) 4×6, 5×7 and 8×10 and yes a much better 20lb copy paper print.
Head cleaning can be a nuiscance is an office when copies are needed fast. The printer will resume when its ready.
