HP PAVILION 510-P101NP DESKTOP COMPUTER

HP Pavilion 510-p101np The HP Pavilion 510-P101NP (Y1D30EA) desktop computer is a basic AMD based platform for general purpose use. This machine was originally sold in Portugal.

This machine is designed for basic office use. The majority of users will likely use web based solutions such as Office 365 or other services. The black matté finish is the most popular.

Today 8GB of memory is good for 64-bit Windows 10. WIndows 10 can better leverage additional memory and the machine can be upgraded to 16GB if needed.

The AMD Bristol Ridge APU is highly integrated which makes it a solid choice. With 4 cores the A10-9700 can handle any task easily. Running at 3.5 GHz the A10-9700 is much faster compared to the Skylake i5-6200U.

The 1TB disk has plenty of room for everyday use.

The machine comes with the Cyberlink Power Director and CyberLink Power Media Player to help organize media files. Machine also comes with HP Support Assistant to update the machine firmware etc.

The card reader is largely perfunctory as most use mobile phones now for photographs. Still, many own digital cameras. USB 3.0 on the back of the machine is not a big issue, as the cable for charging a mobile phone easily reaches.

The machine can use wired or wireless as desired. The Bluetooth is convenient as well. Mobile phones can be setup to sync over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth easily. This makes it easy to have automatic backups etc. Activity devices use Bluetooth which can also sync to Windows.

The PSU limits the choices for a faster CPU. The HP keyboard and mouse are basic and very serviceable.

The PSU at 180W is not going to allow users to install a better video card. The bottom of the line Corsair CS450M is starkly superior. The R5 435 is a 30W video card.

NB: HP machine part numbers have more than one machine with differing components. Clearly they need to update their product database.
