headerMafia III was released on October 6, 2016 by 2K. The game was developed by Hangar 3. Mafia III is a third person action shooter.

The player takes on the role of Lincoln Clay who is back from Vietnam in 1968. The storey is fast paced which takes away a bit from enjoying the game’s artwork.

The game is open so it’s possible to change direction. The game world is very large and expansive.

The game is set in New Bordeaux, a reimagined version of New Orleans, with the open world design allowing players to freely explore the game’s world. Players can complete objectives using a variety of approaches.

There are shotguns, revolvers and other weapons to chose from. Play can be run and gun or more stealthy as desired.

The idea is to build a criminal empire .There are lots of gun fights which will make the game rather active rather the explorative.

The developers dug up old photographs of New Orleans so that they could better attempt to recreate the old city scenes better. They also brought explicit conversations about race into the game. If nothing, 2K did a better job of recreating 1968 than most movies could do.

The game is not super demanding. We tested the game the EVGA GTX 660 Ti which can handle this game fine at 19201080. The game is 50GB which seems to be common lately.

Windows 8 users need to have the 8.1 updates and other patches installed to play this game.

The game has now been patched to fix the 30 fps bug. Look in the in-game options to change settings.
