STATE OF DECAY

State of Decay was released on November 5, 2013 by Microsoft Studios. The game was developed Undead Studios. State of Decay is a third person zombie survival  game.

You choose where to make your stand, designing and fortifying your home base, performing daring raids for food and ammunition, and rescuing other playable survivors with unique talents.

Gameplay is more like a scavenger than an action shooter.

As time passes, the player’s base uses up resources. So you go around a few towns and surrounding countrysides, break into houses and warehouses and the like, and steal stuff.

You’ll find both items that your character can use, and resources that your base can use. You carry regular items in a backpack, which has both a slot and weight limit after which you get encumbered and tired more easily.

The game features Steamworks with achievements.

This game has been remastered as State of Decay: Year One Survival Edition which was released on April 27, 2015.
