WINDOWS 10

Windows 10 underwent a long development period before it was released originally on July 29, 2015. Windows 10 is also used with the Xbox One console with a different UI. Microsoft wants to unify the gaming platform with desktop machines and consoles to reduce costs.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

  • Processor: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster
  • RAM: 1 gigabyte (GB) (32-bit) or 2 GB (64-bit) or more
  • Free hard disk space: 16 GB or more
  • Graphics card: Shader model 2 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 driver (DX9 or better)
    • NVIDIA FX 5200 or better
    • ATI x300 or better
  • SVGA 800×600 or better
  • A Microsoft account and Internet access

Some machines with 32 GB of storage may have to backup files to a USB stick to install Windows 10. Upgrades may require at least 10 GB of free space.

Most machines can run Windows 10 fine. Some tablets computers with very limited flash memory are the only platforms that have problems. With 64GB ore more storage windows 10 has adequate storage for the swap file and the semi-annual updates.
